SOMEONE TO LOVE YOU – PART 2

I wrote a song just about three days ago. It’s the only thing I can hear. So I’m going to play it. When I heard the music to it – it was a love song, for sure. THE DOOR – PART 3

When I composed “The Door” in 2012, my song felt like it was a huge secret. The fact that I was miserable in my marriage was not a secret to people whom I was close with. But finding the courage to divorce was overwhelming and my song helped to guide me. My husband never expected I would leave and my secret ate away at my insides. Continue reading

THE DOOR – PART 2

Originally my last line of my song was, “I walked out the door.” A door is not only a metaphor for leaving, but also for entering. So instead of saying “walk out the door” I decided my last line would be “I went through the door.” And you don’t know what’s on the other side! Continue reading

I’M READY – PART 2

When I started my blog, I had no idea where my journey would lead. But there was a moment when everything changed. It began with new song lyrics. My song “The Unknown” was so painful for me that I became physically ill. How was it possible that a song could actually change the direction of my life?
