MY FAIRYTALE LIFE

I named my post “My Fairytale Life” because it feels that way lately. On several occasions, I’ve had strangers come over to me and tell me I am shining and radiant with my big smile. Well – I love hearing that and have every reason to smile! Continue reading

OPENING UP – PART 3

There was a line from Don Maclean’s song “American Pie” that always hit me strongly: “The day the music died.” For me, my music died for almost 30 years. I believe that explains my current passion for having my songs recorded. It is my way of keeping them alive, of having them live on. Continue reading

AMAZED AT WHERE I AM TODAY – PART 2

If I want to, I can feel that I have dry eyes some days – I do. But I don’t go to that place. I go to the place that I’ve healed from the suffering and I have a life back. Same thing with grief. YOUR SWEET SMILE

The feelings that inspired me to write my most recent song “Someone To Love You,” continue to reverberate throughout my life. The title of this post is from that song. I haven’t written anything of a personal nature in awhile, and will tread lightly here because I do want to share about my current life. I have to balance my honesty without revealing too many personal details that might upset my children. Continue reading

I WISH SOMEHOW I COULD FLY

Depression feels like a whirlpool that is hard to swim out of. I will not drown as long as I can breathe. It’s just very tiring. I once looked forward to speaking publicly and singing, but now it seems almost impossible. I want to “stay safe.” Continue reading
