I ALWAYS WANTED TO FLY
My passion for music could have me writing endless details about that journey alone. My heart is singing and it feels like I’m flying these days. As I have been healing, I’ve become more and more musical. There even seems to be the possibility that I might write a brand new song. I have been practicing my songs in lower keys, and it’s been exciting and challenging to find new chord structures. My playing has become smoother and my voice has begun to change. Continue reading
YOU ARE MY WINGS – PART 1
Of all the songs I’ve written, You Are My Wings is the most upbeat. It is one of the last songs I wrote before I stopped composing in 1981. The song is very enjoyable for me to play on my guitar. The guitar riff I composed is fairly complex and requires an open tuning. It is a love song, and I wrote it at a time when I longed for love. I found it not long after.

THROUGH MY MUSIC
Sharing songs at this juncture is like sharing an illustration as a “line drawing.” I’m sure with vocal improvement and added background accompaniment my song would sound better. I can always share it again later on with the added features. And of course, my improvement will show.
It is simply a song from my heart. It speaks about my life. It was written when I was 19-years-old. I might be 50 now, but it still speaks to me. Continue reading
