THOSE WARM TEARS
I received a phone call today. My mom will be moving tomorrow morning. She will be transferred to a different facility where my father has been living. She will be in nursing care, and he will continue to live in a more independent, assisted living situation. I also decided to show my watercolors to publishers of fine art prints and posters. I went to see a publisher in Los Angeles. He seemed very interested in one of my paintings. It was a watercolor painting of a medley of seashells. Continue reading
BY GEORGE, SHE’S GOT IT!
When I found the ad at the bottom of my drawer, I was thrilled. I called George and set up an appointment. I described myself as a music lover from the 70’s. I used Carol King, as an example. She wrote songs, and she didn’t have a “killer voice.” I told him, “It’s not too late, baby!”
I was talking about myself. I am hoping there’s still a chance for a 50-year-old woman like me to succeed!
