NOW WE ARE OLDER

“Only Tears” was the second to last song that I wrote, before I gave up my music for thirty years. The very last song that I wrote was the one I played at my own wedding, “Song of Joy.” It was for all of my wonderful friends that enriched my life before I got married. I’ve kept in touch with many of my childhood and college friends. Out of nowhere, came the inspiration for me to add another verse to this song. Continue reading

A DAUGHTER’S LOVE – PART 3

Writing about my mother while she was ill became the catalyst for my blog. Of course, I didn’t know that at the time. I’ve faced many challenges in my life, and the experience of seeing my mother recover was truly miraculous. The other miracle was my own recovery.

MY LIFE IS FULL

While going through some old albums, I came across some images I found funny. One time, my mother borrowed one of my dresses for an occasion. It was black and my youngest son would say it looked like a “Spider Woman” costume. I found a picture of my mom wearing it, and I swear I had to look closely to see if it were she or I! These photos are so cute, that I thought I’d share them.
There are times when I really miss the way my mother used to be. I could always share things with her, and she would offer me so much wisdom and comfort. Continue reading
