“Saying Goodbye” was one of three songs where I read the lyrics at my son, Jason’s funeral in 1992. It truly is about how grief is unimaginable. I could not know how hard it was to say goodbye, until he was gone.

“Never Gone Away” is about anticipating a loved one leaving. Remember their smile was a very important and healing wish – to help me through our separation.

“Beside Me Always” is the closest to my heart of all my songs. When I wrote the story of Jason’s life and death, I used this title. I always feel Jason beside me, with a breeze.
